Fun and Learning at the Library for Children of All Ages (and the young at heart as well)
The Whiting Library Youth Services Department welcomes children and families to explore a wide range of materials, including books for all reading levels, DVDs, toys, and games.
We are committed to providing a safe, welcoming, and respectful space where diverse voices and perspectives are reflected in our collections and programs. Youth Services Librarian Carrie Roy King is always happy to help with book and activity recommendations.
Throughout the year, we offer fun and educational programs for all ages—be sure to check this page regularly for upcoming events. You can also read past editions of the Youth Department e-newsletter [here].
New materials are added to our collection every week, from picture books and early readers to middle-grade graphic novels and young adult fiction. There’s always something new to discover. Stop in or browse the catalog from home and find your next great read!
Your digital library is available 24/7 through Libby by logging in with your library card number and PIN (your last name, with the first letter capitalized). Ask us if you’d like help getting started!
