SUMMARY:Lunch Bunch Book Club for Middle Graders
DESCRIPTION:Whether your child’s a bookworm or a struggling reader\, sharing a book with others is way more fun than reading solo. Each week\, students in grades 4-8 are invited to discuss a book from this year’s Vermont Middle Grade Book Award List. Participants may tell the group about any Vermont Middle Grade Books they’ve been reading and enjoy a read aloud of a book selected by the group. Students will keep a log of their reading & vote for their favorite book to win the Vermont Middle Grade Book Award in April. This year will be an opportunity to build our discussion skills and to share our experiences of these terrific books. Join Carrie weekly on Wednesdays at 1 p.m. The Book Club will last approximately 30-45 minutes\, depending on the kids interest.
