DESCRIPTION:Busy Beavers – One of Nature’s Extraordinary Architects \nDid you know that the North American beaver is one of the largest rodents in the world and an “architect”? These tree-chewing creatures are truly incredible and can be found all throughout New England. Come learn more about their way of life and how they change the landscape to create a home for them and other critters. Observe real beaver biofacts\, listen to a story\, and learn how to build your own beaver dam at home. \nThis will be an outdoor event\, rain date TBD. Please wear a mask and practice social distancing to keep kids safe! \nThe Nature Museum is a regional resource for nature\, science\, and environmental education in the Vermont and New Hampshire communities of the Connecticut River Valley. The Museum provides information and experiences that engage and enlighten our audiences and inspire stewardship of the natural world. Thanks to the generous support from Great River Hydro\, The Nature Museum is excited to once again bring free environmental education programming to public libraries throughout the Middle Connecticut River Valley and the Bellows Falls Fish Ladder and Visitor Center during the summer of 2021. These programs aim to be engaging and highlight topics related to the unique ecology and landscape of Northern New England. Unplug\, discover\, and learn!
