SUMMARY:Summer Unplugged with The Nature Museum- Water Animals!
DESCRIPTION:Who’s Swimming in the Water?\nDo fish lay eggs? Can a fish live both in the ocean and in a river? What’s a macroinvertebrate? Join us to learn about the aquatic life that call our local rivers\, streams\, and ponds home! We’ll learn about fish\, amphibians\, insects\, mammals\, and more. Explore pictures\, observe animal biofacts\, listen to a story\, and discover a fun take-home craft to learn more about our water-loving neighbors. \nThis will be an outdoor event\, rain date TBD. Please wear a mask and practice social distancing to keep kids safe! \nThe Nature Museum is a regional resource for nature\, science\, and environmental education in the Vermont and New Hampshire communities of the Connecticut River Valley. The Museum provides information and experiences that engage and enlighten our audiences and inspire stewardship of the natural world. Thanks to the generous support from Great River Hydro\, The Nature Museum is excited to once again bring free environmental education programming to public libraries throughout the Middle Connecticut River Valley and the Bellows Falls Fish Ladder and Visitor Center during the summer of 2021. These programs aim to be engaging and highlight topics related to the unique ecology and landscape of Northern New England. Unplug\, discover\, and learn!
