SUMMARY:Summer Unplugged with The Nature Museum- Raptors!
DESCRIPTION:Raptors: High Flying and Fast Swooping Predators\nRaptors are amazing predators that soar\, swoop\, dive\, and glide. Learn what makes raptors unique\, the differences between some native raptor species\, and why they are such important predators in the environments that they live in. We’ll discover the world of raptors with our eyes and ears. We may just even see one soaring above! Come observe pictures\, hear some raptor calls\, read a story\, and discover a fun take-home craft. \nThis will be an outdoor event\, rain date TBD. Please wear a mask and practice social distancing to keep kids safe! \nThe Nature Museum is a regional resource for nature\, science\, and environmental education in the Vermont and New Hampshire communities of the Connecticut River Valley. The Museum provides information and experiences that engage and enlighten our audiences and inspire stewardship of the natural world. Thanks to the generous support from Great River Hydro\, The Nature Museum is excited to once again bring free environmental education programming to public libraries throughout the Middle Connecticut River Valley and the Bellows Falls Fish Ladder and Visitor Center during the summer of 2021. These programs aim to be engaging and highlight topics related to the unique ecology and landscape of Northern New England. Unplug\, discover\, and learn!
