DESCRIPTION:Need Help with Taxes? Volunteers working with AARP are meeting with seniors and others in the Community Room to help prepare tax returns. The Tax-Aide program starts before Whiting Library opens; please enter through the Community Room entrance. To sign up for assistance\, please call 802-875-2418 and leave a message. The Tax-Aide program starts before Whiting Library opens; please enter through the Community Room entrance. \nTax-Aide can file many basic types of returns. However\, Tax-Aide cannot help with some returns\, such as depreciation\, most rental income\, or complex investment income. \nSince 1968\, AARP Foundation Tax-Aide has provided free tax help to over 78 million taxpayers\, focusing on older adults with low to moderate income. Tax-Aide volunteers are located nationwide and are trained and IRS-certified every year to make sure they know about and understand the latest changes and additions to the tax code.
