DESCRIPTION:From 10 – 11:30 a.m.\, Liz Winchester-Larson will do a colored pencil demonstration focusing on still-life subjects. Liz will work from a small still-life set-up to show how she applies many layers to achieve rich color and intricate detail. Liz exhibits her award-winning paintings in shows throughout the New England area. She is a member of the Colored Pencil Society of\nAmerica\, the Monadnock Area Artists Association\, the Nashua Area Artists Association\, and the Saxtons River Art Guild.

DESCRIPTION:This introduction to watercolor will help both the beginner and those who wonder how to start. We will talk about paper\, paints\, brushes\, and needed supplies. We will cover terminology and try out techniques and tools. Bring any watercolor supplies you might have\, or if you haven’t started painting yet\, just bring yourself and a willingness to experiment and play with this wonderful medium. \nEnrollment is limited. To register\, please call Whiting Library at 802-875-2277 or email director@WhitingLibrary.org. \nAbout Donna Bascom Lund: My husband Perley and I have enjoyed living in picturesque East Alstead for the last 40 years. As an artist\, I play with many creative mediums\, including sewing and blacksmithing\, but I am most drawn to painting with watercolor. I feel that no other medium offers the feeling that watercolor does. My favorite subjects are landscapes\, nature\, and an occasional old barn.
