DESCRIPTION:If you want to love the taste of a good fall apple\, you’ll want to come to this three-hour workshop presented by Celest Longacre and learn how to preserve some delicious abundance by making and canning homemade applesauce. In this workshop\, we will go over preparing and cooking apples into applesauce. We will also demonstrate how to use the water bath canning method to safely preserve your applesauce so that it can be stored in your pantry and enjoyed all year. \nCeleste Longacre is the author of Celeste’s Garden Delights. She is an accomplished gardener\, growing most of her family’s vegetables for 40 years. Celeste preserves her garden’s bounty by canning\, freezing\, drying\, and fermenting it and storing her produce in a root cellar. She lives in Alstead\, NH.
