DESCRIPTION:This event is canceled on Friday\, November 10 as the library is closed in observance of Veterans Day. \nKids looking for a fun opportunity to dive into the wonderful world of Pokémon are in for a treat. With this group\, students can enjoy the camaraderie and educational opportunities in person at Whiting Library. But this is also a perfect opportunity to let the learners be the teachers and believe me\, Pokémon players will love to bring adults and fellow students into the game. \nAfter School Pokémon Club will meet once per month for an hour\, participating students have access to tools to learn how to play the Pokémon Trading Card Game and other fun activities and resources\, students should not bring valuable Pokémon Trading Cards or ones they are not willing to lose in a trade. \nGames are an essential component of the library. Information presented in new formats\, that encourage critical thinking and problem solving\, and games that encourage social interaction among peers are just a few of the reasons to consider joining the Whiting Library After School Pokémon Club.

Stay as long or as little as you like. Geared towards Caregivers who want to find friendship and build connections in the greater wee little people (0-5 years old) community. \nFun & games\, plus art & craft projects in the community room downstairs – available to enjoy anytime the library is open! \nEveryone learns best through play!
