Participants may tell the group about any Vermont Middle Grade Books they’ve been reading and enjoy a read aloud of a book selected by the group. Students will keep a log of their reading & vote for their favorite book to win the Vermont Middle Grade Book Award in April. This year will be an opportunity to build our discussion skills and to share our experiences of these terrific books. DESCRIPTION:The Whiting Library is encouraging animal lovers to share the gift of giving from December 1st to December 31st by donating supplies to give to homeless animals at the Springfield Humane Society. \nNewton’s Laws of Motion are three physical laws that\, together\, lay the foundation for classical mechanics. They describe the relationship between a body and the forces acting upon it\, and its motion in response to those forces. \nIt is in this spirit\, Whiting Library is declaring December “Whiting’s Paws of Motion” month. Whiting’s Paws in Motion encourages animal lovers to get into the motion of sharing by donating to the Springfield Humane Society (SHS) from December 1st to December 31st. During this festive season\, let’s see how our actions to help animal can be a force for good in the world. \nThe campaign goal of “Whiting’s Paws of Motion” is stocking the Springfield Humane Society with much-needed supplies. Our four-legged friends need to feel loved during the holidays just like we do! This year will be an opportunity to build our discussion skills and to share our experiences of these terrific books. Join Carrie weekly on Wednesdays at 1 p.m. The Book Club will last approximately 30-45 minutes\, depending on the kids interest.
