A touch of magic has arrived at Whiting Library. Local artist Kari Storm’s stunning 3D cardboard exhibit, inspired by The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe, is now on display April 4 through May 2 in the Suze Forlie Room.
Celebrating the book’s 75th anniversary in 2026, this imaginative installation transforms repurposed cardboard into lifelike scenes featuring beloved characters such as Mr. and Mrs. Beaver and the White Witch. Visitors of all ages are invited to step into this creative, eco-friendly world where storytelling and sustainability come together.
As part of the exhibit, Kari will lead a hands-on Earth Day workshop on April 22 from 3–4:30 PM, where participants will turn everyday cereal boxes into masks and decorations using simple, kid-safe tools. Storm is also donating a Makedo Makers Kit and a guidebook to sustainable 3D art, available for patrons to borrow.
Visit throughout the month to experience this magical exhibit and get inspired. Space for the April 22 workshop is limited; registration is encouraged.
